eWAVE
eWAVE – Efficient HV-electric modular battery and distribution systems for sustainable WAterborne VEssels
The research, technology and shipbuilding experts in project eWAVE will collaborate to mature High-Voltage (HV) battery technology for electric vessels for future uptake in the European shipbuilding sector, using efficient HV electric modular battery and distribution systems. Together, the eWAVE partners will research, develop and demonstrate HV battery
MARLEN
MarLEN – Maritime Low Emission Network, is a pioneering 54-month Horizon Europe initiative that brings together 14 ministries, funding bodies, and research organisations from 10 European countries. Its primary objective is to accelerate the decarbonisation of waterborne transport in Europe by fostering synergies between national and regional research programmes, in line with the objectives of the Zero-Emission Waterborne Transport (ZEWT) partnership.
D-NAVIO
D-NAVIO is a three-year Horizon Europe project bringing together 16 partners from seven European countries to redefine how ships are designed, monitored, and maintained. By combining Intelligent Digital Twins, explainable Artificial Intelligence, advanced risk-assessment models, and a “memory of failures”, D-NAVIO aims to enhance the safety, cybersecurity, and operational resilience of complex vessels. The project’s technologies will be demonstrated and validated through real-world pilot implementations on both a cruise ship and a container vessel.
