MarLEN Joins Forces with HARPOONERS’ Growing Network

MarLEN (Maritime Low Emission Network) is a pioneering 54-month Horizon Europe initiative that brings together 14 ministries, funding bodies, and research organisations from 10 European countries. Its primary objective is to accelerate the decarbonisation of waterborne transport in Europe by fostering synergies between national and regional research programmes, in line with the objectives of the Zero-Emission Waterborne Transport (ZEWT) partnership.

Building on previous initiatives such as MarTERA, MarLEN will foster knowledge exchange, expand collaboration across countries, and support joint actions covering the entire innovation chain — from research to market. It will also address key climate and environmental challenges by promoting safe and sustainable technology adoption through increased RD&I and investment.
